Why didn't Fantasia sing at the 2007 American Idol Finale?

All of the other American Idol winners from past seasons performed at the finale, but Fantasia Barrino did not. Kelly Clarkson sang two songs, so I wonder if Fantasia backed out at the last minute and Kelly sang her song instead.

  5. The did explain it. Fantasia was on Broadway working on The Colour Purple.
  6. I think there were ENOUGH performers... I cant stand Fantasia anyway.

  8. Fantasia is busy she performs on broad way in the color purple she probably had other obligations to fulfill.
