  1. Here's all it says on Wikipedia: The lyrics are about a relationship that is ending as the title refers to memories from the relationship that will be etched on her heart "just like a tattoo". I tend to think that's correct. It sounds like she's singing about a relationship that's over, but she'll always remember him and he'll always be with her.
