How did Carrie Underwood get so lucky with good song-writing in her 1st album?
Jordin Sparks's album just came out, and it's garbage compared to the quality of "Some Hearts". If you think about it, only Carrie's album was written and produced with professional quality, compared to the other AI debut albums. Granted that Carrie's delivery is always standout, but if you just read the lyrics, all of the songs on "Some Hearts" are decent. This wasn't the case with the other AI winners. How did she get so lucky to be teamed up with good song-writers right off the bat?

- Not meaning anything bad at all by this, but it is generally alot easier to write country songs than it is most of the other genres. Country music has long stuck to its roots of dealing with the crap in love and life from alcohol to cheating to always doing me wrong and so forth. The old cliches are really true of this genre, making it incredibly easy to write songs. Basically being creative with the tunes is really the hardest part. And while I agree with you on her delivery, she is a gifted singer, I think Kelly Clarkson is still the best to come off that show with Carrie and Chris Daughtry following close behind.
