  11. I'd rather have a root canal WITHOUT anethesia!!!!
  12. Not me. I hate that show and I never even watched it. The clips alone that they show on TV annoy me enough.
  13. i am!
  14. i probably will, but i hope they bring back american idol juniors which had young kids on it.
  15. I like their earlier work when they were more stripped down and raw. Their last CD seemed too commercial to me. I love seeing them live last fall. I almost fainted during Tyler' solo.
  16. Me. American Idol is the new variety show that takes the place of so many predecessors- Uncle Miltie, Jack Bennie, Donny and Marie, Tony Orlando, Sonny and Cher. So many people watched these shows that they add to our collective American experience. It (the shows) may be low culture, but it is a common culture.
  17. I can't help myself. I start watching because I love those horrible auditions, then I just get hooked. I guess I'm a closet Idol fan... :(
  18. not me that show is so over rated
  19. I will, that show is # 3 all time best... after Greys Anatomy and Desperate Housewives, of course.
  20. i am
  21. The majority of Americans will be glued to it. American Idol was the top-rated episodic television program of 2006. “It is proof of a base and low mind for one to wish to think with the masses or majority, merely because the majority is the majority. Truth does not change because it is, or is not, believed by a majority of the people.” --Giordano Bruno “There are lots of people who can't think seriously without injuring their brains” --John Jay Chapman "The masses are asses" --anon Yeah, I've only seen a few segments of different episodes while channel surfing. I just don't see the draw. It's a demonstration of narcissism, bad manners, and at best, mediocre talent. --MsPlaced
  22. I don't know. It takes up so much time. First you watch the show, then you get a finger cramp spending a long time trying to cast your votes. Then your favorite gets voted out in the fourth round. (But I was so RIGHT when I chose Carrie Underwood at her first audition! I KNEW she would win that early on!) Clay Aiken is my favorite of all time. From now on, I'll only vote for people I think will record the types of music I like. Fantasia said she would record music for everyone, but the stuff on her first album wasn't stuff I wanted to buy, so I didn't. I bought John Stevens' album, Red. Love it. It's one of my favorites.
  23. I AM! i love watching when they disqualify the bad ones.
  24. That show is boring to me.
