  4. Hi Ashley, The definitive version of I Who Have Nothing was recorded by Shirley Bassey, the legendary diva who sang the James Bond Goldfinger title song. It was a big international hit for Ms. Bassey among many others. When I see Jordin I see a young Shirley Bassey. Very inspiring! It is a great song and you should really check out Ms. Bassey's version. As for Simon Cowell, ughh! Who is he to even speak to the so-called tiredness of a timeless classic liked I Who Have Nothing. And like Shirley Bassey, he is also British?! He should know better. While he may be a celebrity, he'll never be a fraction of the huge international star Ms. Bassey has been for half a century now. I don't know but my guess is Jordin chose the song in an homage to the great Shirley Bassey, whom she so clearly resembles in both looks, heritage and that "Spark-ling!" personality of hers! I am keeping that baby girl in my prayers, for a great, safe ride in her new celebrity. By the way, Shirley Bassey is about to turn 70 and she can be heard with The Propellerheads on their single "History Repeating", also used on a couple of TV commercials.
