Who thinks Jordin Sparks is better than Leona Lewis? No bias here cause I'm from the UK, but I am getting so sick of Leona Lewis. Sure she has a great set of pipes but I really believe she's a tad overrated. She has no real stage presence, her lower register is not strong at all, the girl has zero control of her vibrato and she tends to sound a little well 'whiny' in her performances. I have just discovered Jordin Sparks... I know she's been out for ages in the US, but hey I'm slow. My initial reaction is just wow! Her voice is amazingly powerful, she has so much control and vocally I just think she's a lot stronger than Leona. The emotion, power and control in her voice in fantastic and I just love the song 'No Air'. Even being a Brit, I can honestly say that 80% of the worlds best music comes from the States - I just think that's where all the action is so to speak. Anyway anyone agree? Just to be clear -I'm not hating on Leona, I'm just curious if anyone holds the same view on this topic. Thanks :) For US folk that don't know about Leona, she won the UK equivalent to idol; The X Factor. Don't get me wrong the girl can sing, but she's getting called the next Whitney, Mariah etc, but I don't think she lives up to the hype. She's one the best UK vocalists but ah I duno, I just don't think she's got the X Factor as ironic as that sounds. I think she's lacking a star quality, and her music is just so flat lining and boring.

Was Jordin Sparks actually the lowest vote getter during the charity night or were they just being dramatic? I like Jordin all right, but in how things have progressed with Idol, it doesn't seem quite fair that she was allowed to stay on in a surprise "no one's being eliminated" night. Did you get upset FOR Jordin Sparks when Ryan made it look like she'd be going home last night? I'm sorry, but what they did was wrong. They purposely made it look like Jordin was going to go home as a joke. It was so horrible and cruel. And then made her get up and sing after she'd cried her eyes out! Does anyone else find Jordin Sparks irritating? It is obvious Jordin has a strong following and that the producers have wanted her to win from the beginning. My question is "Why?!" Her voice is shrieky and whiny. Her vibrato sounds like a goat. Her notes are often sharp. She is huge. Scary huge. I know Ryan Seacrest is small, but literally, her head is three times the size of his! It's freakish, really. Finally, I find her personality grating. She is beyond fake. For example, she acted so excited when her mayor told her Simon's pick for her. Then, later in the show, she criticized his choice for being too old when he told her that her final performance was too old for her. ("Wasn't Rose Royce from the 70s?") She pretends to be so sweet and cute, and it just grates on my nerves. Does anyone else feel the same way?
